Fishing Day Information
- Parents must bring the young fishermen to the
appropriate lake at least
thirty (30) minutes prior to the launch time.
- The youth fishermen will assist the leaders in preparing the boat and
equipment for departure.
- All safety rules and procedures will be reviewed prior to
launching the boat. Such rules and procedures will acquaint all present with
the specific location and proper use of: 1.) fire extinguishers, 2.) first aid kits, 3.)
floatation devices, 4.) air horns, 5.) flares and 6.) fishing equipment (i.e. rods, reels,
lures, tools, etc.).
- It is recommended that youth fishermen dress initially for warmth as
the daybreak hours can be quite cold on the water surface. Everyone will peel off layer
after layer of clothing during the morning hours. It is further recommended that;
sunscreen, sunglasses, baseball type hats (or visors) and tennis shoes be worn. Snacks and
water are also recommended.
CAUTION: wear clothing and shoes that can get wet, as we are around water.
- Leaders will do their best to keep parents fully informed as to the proper time
to retrieve their youth fisherman conditioned upon cell phones having service on/around
the lake. Please try your cell phone and remind us to do the same before leaving the lake
area, at drop off. We will strive to provide a thirty (30) minute window for retrieval of
your fisherman. All passengers of the boat must assist in boat clean-up and wipe down
prior to going home. This process will take approximately twenty (20) minutes from
trailoring the boat.
We are
confident your fisherman will enjoy this three (3) to four (4) hour event
The leaders reserve the right to refuse
service to anyone who: 1.) does not listen/respond to instruction, 2.) willfully
breaks safety rules and/or procedures, or 3.) uses foul or non-respectful
language/behavior, during the event.
